Education

One of the priorities for Communication Specialists has been the education market. As noted previously in the public safety section, public and private schools today offer great opportunities for our youth. K through 12, community colleges and universities are all subject to misconduct by law-breaking individuals or groups. There is a legitimate requirement for law enforcement on campuses around the country.

CSC works with campus security and police at several institutions in our service area. We assist campus law enforcement with radio communications, both portable and mobile. New Hanover county schools, Brunswick county schools, and Onslow county schools employ our services to maintain their radio systems and vehicles, including school busses. Student transportation is now assisted by radio communications and AVL/GPS which increases their safety to and from school.

The University of NC Wilmington (UNCW) also incorporates a campus wide emergency Call Box system. (See ‘Call24’ in our ‘Vendor Partner’ section).CSC provides and maintains all of the call boxes (currently 185 units) for safety and emergency assistance. Cape Fear Community College and Cape Fear Academy also use CSCs services.
